Well, the long-awaited verdict has finally been rendered, and the results are not at all surprising. Not dissimilar to the bow tie, the knit necktie has steadily gained the approval of the contemporary masses and now a gentleman can comfortably wear one almost anywhere. He is definitely not alone. This quintessential preppy staple is showing up under the dress shirt collar of gentlemen across the map. Just make sure that dress shirt is either a button-down or point collar. I wish this type of necktie was readily available in SA. Of all neckties it is a firm favourite.
Love the knit look, but my wife HATEs the look, as she believes it is juvenile and 80s-looking. Ehhhh... Anyway, I did add a simple gray one from the TieBar to my collection. No regrets...

It took me awhile to warm to the knit necktie. Granted, I only own a few, but it is good to have a diversified neck wear rotation. Not sure if I can do ascots though.
